Learn to Say No

If you're someone who doesn't like to rock the boat or you shy away from confrontations, you'll often find yourself saying yes to things and people that drain your energy.

This week, I want you to say no to someone or something.   Examples of this could be:

  • Your boss asks you to work overtime this week

  • Attending a family event full of relatives you hate

  • Your adult child asks to borrow money

  • You feel pressured to attend happy hour with co-workers

  • One of your friends needs a ride somewhere

  • A co-worker asking for help while you're on vacation

  • Your spouse wants to leave you at home with the kids for the 2nd time this week

By saying learning how to say no to things or situations that drain us, it leaves you with more energy to devote to things you'd rather be doing.  Learning to say no doesn't make you mean or inconsiderate.

Saying no can you make you feel a little uncomfortable at first, but eventually it will become easier.

Say no at least one time this week and let me know what you think.
