"Too often, intelligent, talented people have their self-esteem knocked out from under them by being wrongly told that introversion is a weakness."

I'm Derrick, and I'm a Career and Confidence Coach for Introverts.

Before I become a coach, I always had a passion for helping people.   Even as far back as high school, my friends would often come to me for advice on different topics.   Like most people, instead of choosing what I was passionate about, I made the "practical" choice to pursue information technology as a career.

I soon realized that I wasn't passionate about my career.  I kept changing companies and pursuing IT certifications, thinking that the right certification or company would make me happier in my career.

To make things worse, as an introvert I was constantly criticized for not speaking up enough, or not socializing enough. I was once told during an annual review that I didn’t walk around the office and socialize enough.

After that annual review, I made the decision to find a career that truly excites me.  No longer would I try to build a whole new personality as an introvert just to satisfy someone else’s ego. I went out and hired my own coach.

After a few amazing sessions with my own coach, I kept thinking about how great it would be to help other introverts who may be struggling with their careers. After that session, I knew that coaching was my true calling.

As a certified coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), I've worked with everyone from entrepreneurs to delegates of the United Nations.  I believe that personal development is a lifelong journey, and I've helped countless introverts to rediscover their own confidence and to use their strengths to their advantage.

Once you discover how to play to your strengths as an introvert, you will gain more confidence than ever before, and start to live life on your own terms.
